Rahamim Melamed Cohen, born in 1937, an educator par excellence, formerly the supervisor of special education and of learning programs in the Ministry of Education. Rahamim was awarded the Yakir Yerushalayim prize, Worthy Citizen of Jerusalem is an annual citizenship prize in Jerusalem, Israel. Yakir of the religious educational system and an outstanding educator.
In 1994 Rahamim was first diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Since then he has written, by means of his eye movements on a virtual keyboard, the books that are publicized on this website, and also has drawn and painted pictures using the Photoshop digital imaging software program which have been displayed in various art exhibits in Israel.
